FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Longtime fixture amongst Boston Celtics fans, Adam Kaufman, will begin hosting CLNS Media’s flagship program Celtics Beat this Sunday February 18th, 2018.
BOSTON, MA — While Boston Celtics fans continue to debate whether the team should have made an addition for the stretch drive at last week’s trade deadline, CLNS Media made its own addition to its leading online coverage of the NBA’s winningest franchise.
Adam Kaufman has been named the new full-time host for CLNS’ flagship broadcast Celtics Beat. Kaufman will start hosting this Sunday, February 18th.
“I am thrilled and honored to be partnering with the talented group at CLNS Media, and thank my colleagues at WBZ NewsRadio and iHeartMedia for their support,” said Kaufman. “Anyone who’s familiar with my work knows I’m incredibly passionate about Boston’s sports teams, and the Celtics hold a special place in my heart. Celtics Beat is the podcast for C’s fans and, as I’ve always done, I’ll make it my mission to deliver them the best basketball content in the market with expert interviews and informed analysis. If Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens should happen to lead the Green to Banner 18 along the way, we’ll have that much more fun. Anything is possible, right?”
Kaufman is most noted among Celtics Nation as the former host of the popular Celtics at 7 program on 98.5 FM The Sports Hub.
“There is no one in the local media who has such a unique connection with Celtics fans as Adam Kaufman has,” said CLNS Media’s Executive Producer, Tommy White. “Adam is one of the most well-versed and well-connected people in basketball circles and his ability to purvey such valuable information while taking part in the very discussions with his audience has always made his broadcasts must-listens for NBA fans.”
CLNS CEO Nick Gelso issued a statement on the network’s Facebook account:
“Each and every day here at the network we put every ounce of our energy to go above and beyond in our coverage of the NBA’s most decorated franchise. We owe it to the sport’s best fans. Celtics Beat has not only been a part of that, but has been the pillar for every one of our Celtics podcasts. It has always been appointment listening for Celts fans every Sunday and it will now go to another level with Adam as the new voice of the show.”
Kaufman will continue as the morning drive sports anchor at WBZ NewsRadio and the lead digital host for DraftKings’ DK Live.
