Smackdown Live comes to you tonight from Green Bay, Wisconsin!

Segment 1: Charlotte and Ruby Riot Promo

A good promo from both ladies here. This is the most I can remember Ruby talking and she had a pretty solid promo. Charlotte had a small part in this promo but she delivered it well. Being a Flair she has a natural knack for speaking on the mic. The segment ended with Bobby Roode coming out for commentary for the next match. This was the most awkward ending to a segment I can remember.

Match 1: Randy Orton vs. Jinder Mahal

A good match between two vets. Nothing to exciting but with Rood e on commentary you knew there was going to be interference. The way it happened was that Randy threw Jinder into Bobby. This caused Bobby to get up and distract Randy, who in turn was hit with the Kallas for the 3. Randy and Bobby will meet Sunday for the United States Championship.

Winner: Jinder Mahal

Segment 2: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn Locker Room Chat

A good promo with Sami again saying he would lay down for KO on Sunday if he has to so Kevin can attain his dream of headlining WrestleMania. I feel like there is going to be a moment at Fastlane where Sami turns on Kevin. Probably during a spot where Sami wont lay down for him. Overall a good shot promo from two of the best.

Match 2: Becky Lynch vs Carmella

A pretty standard match but it seemed like they were trying to push Carmella slightly. I don’t think they want to give it away fully but I believe they need to push her because I believe by the end of WrestleMania she will be the Smackdown Live Women’s champion.  I believe she will be cashing in on whomever wins that match. So they don’t want to make her have too much momentum and give it away. Either way it was a good showing for the Princess of Staten Island.

Winner: Becky Lynch

After it was announced that Becky Lynch and Naomi would face Carmella and Natalya at Fastlane this Sunday.

Segment 3: AJ Styles Promo

AJ cut a really nice promo about his journey to the WWE and how once again this weekend the odds are stacked against him. AJ really has grown on the mic in his two years in WWE. He came onto Smackdown Live being known as they excellent worker who couldn’t talk. AJ has cleared this up and then some. With this he should be going on to WrestleMania as the WWE Champion. Dolph Ziggler interrupted and had a really good response about how he is still the most underrated guy in the company and the fact that he has never had a singles match at WrestleMania. This led to the next match

Match 3: AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler

The best match of the night and it wasn’t even a close call. With guys like this in the ring the matches are always top quality. These two are probably the two top workers on Smackdown Live and boy can they really put on a show. While they have two of the best move-sets in all of wrestling it was a very psychological match. There was a nice duplex spot that ended with AJ taking a hard fall on the apron. The only bad part was the ending but it made sense. KO and Sami rushed the ring and attacked both of the competitors leading to a double DQ.

Winner: Double DQ

Shane O Mac came out after the beat down and made a fatal 5 way for the main event adding Baron Corbin to the equation.

Main Event: Fatal 5-Way

A good match but honestly I would have rather them just made a triple threat between KO, Sami and Baron. With Ziggler and AJ already being gassed they weren’t as involved as I would have liked them to be but overall it was a nice way to end the go home Smackdown to Fastlane. This had a great spot at the end where Sami Zayn hit the Helluva Kick on Kevin Owens for the Win. I guess they decided to have the turn before Sunday.

Winner: Sami Zayn

After the match Sami cut a promo on how he has been the most undercooked performer on the roster. He said with his win tonight he proved he was the best and he is going to win the WWE Championship on Sunday.

Match of the night: AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler
