Game 3 Primer: Riley Nash Looking Like A Go, Matt Grzelcyk Out? Tomas Plekanec Moved Up To Leafs’ Second Line

The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs took their morning skate at the ACC Centre in Toronto in advance of Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series tonight at 7 PM ET. There looks to be some lineup changes on both sides.

For the Bruins, forward Riley Nash (ear) was once again skating on the third line and appear to be ready to go for tonight, while Tommy Wingels skated with the reserve line with Brian Gionta and Ryan Donato, who appears headed for the press box again, after tasting his first playoff action in Game 2. On defense, Matt Grzelyck didn’t skate and Nick Holden slotted in on the third pairing with Adam McQuaid.

For the Leafs, forward Leo Komarov – who ran into the tank, otherwise known as Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller in the second period of Game 2 and never returned – is out and questionable for Game 4 as well. Also, longtime Bruins nemesis (from his time with the Canadiens), Tomas Plekanec was moved up to the second line centering Mitch Marner and Patrick Marleau.

Here’s your Game 3 predictions from Mike Petraglia and myself, as well as what we think the B’s must do to grab a commanding 3-0 series lead tonight:

Petraglia – Leafs 5-3

Me: Bruins 4-3 (OT)
