Prior to their fourth straight win over the Charlotte Hornets Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics gathered at TD Garden for the official team photograph.
Normally, this wouldn’t be much of a newsworthy story, but down the sideline walked a sight Celtics fans have been longing to see since a six-minute tease on opening night.
Gordon Hayward, dressed in full head-to-toe uniform, walked out of the locker room and to the photo set. It was likely the first time he had worn full Celtics’ white since he came crashing down in October against the Cleveland Cavaliers and suffered a dislocated ankle and broken leg.
Hayward moved fine under his own power, though he didn’t jog or anything, and showed no signs of any braces or boots. He did take one of the chair positions, while many stood behind. Hayward was seated on the bottom right, in between Kyrie Irving and Marcus Smart.
