The Boston Celtics traveled to the Chase Center to take on the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of the same issues on offense that have haunted the Celtics during the playoffs have begun to snowball into Game 5. Boston struggled again to take care of the basketball and their shooting for the first half was dreadful, but with the deficit at 11 at the end of the first half, the Celtics were not out of things just yet.<\/p>\n

After an impressive 3rd quarter only slightly spoiled by a buzzer beater three from Jordan Poole, the Celtics had cut the lead to single digits heading into the home stretch. But all of the good work Boston had done to crawl back into the game went out the window when they reverted to old habits and sloppy execution. Golden State regained and stretched their lead, beating Boston 104-94 and taking a 3-2 series lead heading into Game 6 at TD Garden on Thursday.<\/p>\n

“Talking to the refs too much didn’t help us to start the fourth,” said Ime Udoka<\/a> in his postgame interview.<\/p>\n

Al Horford<\/a> and Robert Williams echoed the same sentiment approaching Game 6, and said \u201cOur backs are against the wall, and we have to see what we\u2019re made of. The challenge starts back home on Thursday.\u201d<\/p>\n

“We ain’t gotta win two in one day. We just gotta win Thursday,” said Jayson Tatum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of the team’s mindset and his approach to Game 6, Jaylen Brown said<\/a> “It’s win or go home at this point.”<\/p>\n
