BOSTON \u2014 Brad Stevens<\/strong> took a rare step up to the podium and provided a different perspective on the state of the team than we\u2019ve heard since the new year began. While remaining confident through what\u2019s admittedly been an up-and-down start to 2025, he was asked about the team\u2019s continued strong performance in the analytics department in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, they were buoyed by some blowouts,\u201d he said, smiling. \u201cI\u2019m kidding.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t get too caught up in the numbers of that stretch, because we lost some close games that maybe we felt like we could\u2019ve won, but made mistakes at the end and lost. Then, our numbers were probably buoyed by a couple of those 30-40 point wins, and so we probably weren\u2019t playing as good as our numbers at that time, but we\u2019re capable. We\u2019re capable on both ends of the court. Listen, it\u2019s a long year. We have played late and we hope to play late (in the year). We know that nothing\u2019s given, but the reality is we also know there are going to be ups-and-downs and we can\u2019t ride those.\u201d<\/p>\n
