The story of Isaiah Thomas has taken another turn. The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded Thomas along with Channing Frye and their own first round pick in next year’s draft in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance. The first round pick is protected.
Cleveland is sending Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye to the Lakers for Clarkson and Nance, league source tells ESPN.

The story was originally reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Clarkson will presumably take over Thomas’ starting spot on the Cavs.
With Thomas entering free agency after this season, his future looks even more vague than before. He will presumably take over as the sixth man for the Lakers, which he will not be happy with. On the other side, it feels like IT was made for the LA lifestyle. I’m sure Hollywood will like Isaiah, and I hope they do. When he’s at his best, Thomas is a lethal scorer and pick n’ roll player.
Best wishes to IT and his family. Hopefully he finds a longterm home.
IT most recently said he did not want to be traded, he just wanted to be wanted.
