BOSTON – The depleted Celtics roster pushed the Washington Wizards into double overtime on Wednesday night at TD Garden, but would ultimately lose in heartbreaking fashion.

Here are the postgame reactions from Brad Stevens and Jayson Tatum.

Brad Stevens:

Did you think about calling timeout during the last possession?

“I tried to call timeout at the end of regulation, but didn’t get one down there. So, I’ve got to scream louder. But I think the – but at that one I didn’t. That one, I was trying – I just wanted them to play. I think when we were – we were coming down, we had a five-on-four, we didn’t get anything, but we had an action drawn up to go to. We didn’t run it to a tee, and maybe, maybe we could’ve gotten a better look.”

Jayson Tatum:

How important is having a short memory in terms of plays you wish you could have back?

“Yeah, I wish I hit that free throw, then we wouldn’t have had, hopefully, to go to the second overtime. Wish I hit that last shot. But we play again on Friday, so just focus on that game.”
