And our first Woj-bobm of the offseason is upon us. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski tweeting today that Irving is “serious” about signing with the Nets in free agency, and the Nets are “serious” about beating out the Knicks to sign the premier free agents.
Kyrie Irving is serious about the Nets — and the Nets are serious about beating the Knicks — and rest of league — to the biggest free agents in the marketplace, per league sources.

Irving can opt out of his deal with the Celtics on July 1st and become a free agent.
Earlier today the Nets made a trade that clears enough money for them to sign two max free agents, like say Irving and a certain someone he was seen chatting with during the all star break.
On Wednesday Celtics President of Basketball Operations Kyrie Irving met with the media and sounded less than confident Irving would return to Boston next season.
“I don’t know,” Ainge said of whether Irving was still planning to re-sign. “There’s not much I can say about that, honestly. But there are ongoing conversations. We just have to wait and see what happens there.”
“We made a risk by trading for Kyrie, and no matter what happens for Kyrie, I’ll never regret that,” said Ainge. “You just move on to the next deal.”
