So far the Boston Bruins started out December on a high note as they traveled to Philadelphia to take on the Flyers. The Boston Bruins have been playing better and were coming off an impressive win against the Tampa Bay Lighting on Wednesday night. Today though was all Bruins as Tuukka Rask made 28 saves in the win. The Flyers were shut out for the sixth time this season. It’s also the first 10 game losing streak for the Flyers since 2008. The Bruins had goals from Ryan Spooner David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand in the 3-0 win.
The Bruins would challenge the overturned goal by Claude Giroux goal. It was ruled that Wayne Simmonds interfered with Rask. The crowd of course was not happy with the overturned goal and loud boos could be heard.
Pastrnak would extend his point streak to five games as he would score his 13th goal of the season. Brad Marchand was playing in his second game back after an injury to also score a goal in the second period. David Krejci and Anders Bjork played today. Jake DeBrusk sat out today’s game. Tukka Rask improved to 5-8- on the season. The Boston Bruins have won 6 out of their last seven games. They have won two in a row with Tuukka in the net.
Brad Marchand talked after the game about the check to the head from Ian Provorov saying. “I felt fine. I more got in the mouth than the nose, which I guess is kinda expected for me.”
The Boston Bruin fathers also traveled with the team to watch their sons take on the Flyers. They will also travel to Nashville when the Boston Bruins take on the Predators on Monday night. Anton Khudobin will get the start in net on Monday as the Bruins try to put another “W” in the win column.
