With just six games remaining in the regular season, Gordon Hayward took another step forward towards his return to the Boston Celtics.

That step wasn’t just any old step, though. This step was a bit quicker. It was a jog. A light jog, but a jog all the same.

The Player’s Tribune, through which Hayward has been chronicling his rehab, posted a video Monday morning of Hayward lightly jogging up and down what looks like maybe a 40-yard dash setup. It was the length of a NBA baseline, with a trainer by his side and a fairly taped up left ankle, but all still very positive signs.

The video was viewed more than 16,000 times in the first 30 minutes.
