On this week’s Good ‘N Plenty Jeff Goodman sounds off on the Chicago Bulls. The organization is a mess. They’ve had a slew of bad roster decisions, especially in free agency. The front office brought in Fred Hoiberg and never built a team around him. The team’s star forced his way out. The Bulls gambled correctly on Zach LaVine, but they haven’t built the team the right way. The culture of the franchise has taken a massive hit. This season, outside of a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, does not look promising. Jeff and Evan debate whether it’s time for GarPax to go.
Furthermore DeMarcus Cousins is on the way back. He just joined the Golden State Warriors G-League team. It is still a long road back, but both Evan and Jeff are rooting for Boogie to come back. And maybe take another leap forward. What if this is the situation that finally unlocks him? How far can Golden State get if he isn’t 100 percent? Who should the Warriors be afraid of, if anyone?
In contrast to the Warriors we have the Rockets. The darlings of the 2017-2018 season, Houston has fallen WAY short of expectations. The second-best offense in the league last year has morphed into a bottom-ten offense. Chris Paul and Eric Gordon have not performed, the role players are different. Can they save the season?
