According to the Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Boston Celtics and Greg Monroe have agreed to a 10-day contract.

Monroe signed with the Celtics last February, averaging 10.2 points and 6.3 rebounds on 53% shooting in 26 games last season. The 28-year-old Monroe, however, was mostly a non-factor in the playoffs, averaging 4.8 points in less than 10 minutes per game over the course of 11 postseason games.

This reported 10-day contract with Monroe also coincides with the NBA G-League Maine Red Claws claiming Thomas Robinson off waivers.

According to various reports, Robinson has been playing hard in Maine, he just needs more game reps. Both Robinson and Monroe are eligible for the NBA playoffs.

Plus, when the Celtics tipoff tonight vs. the Charlotte Hornets they’ll reportedly be without Gordon Hayward, Al Horford and Aron Baynes.
