The Boston Celtics added to their season-long trend of, “was that the worst loss of the year?” type of games, losing 124-117 to the Charlotte Hornets after blowing an 18-point fourth-quarter lead.

Up 112-94 with eight minutes to play, the Celtics were outscored 30-5 the rest of the way, resulting in a third straight loss.

The Celtics receive little time to reflect, as they tipoff tonight at 7:30 p.m. at home against the San Antonio Spurs. The Celtics have a bevy of injuries and will be shorthanded against the Spurs.
