    It’s Oscar Season!

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, it’s that time of year where we gather around and watch movies we didn’t watch win awards for things we don’t understand. Who is excited? Well the guys are! And they decided to show their excitement by reviewing the movie Dunkirk.

    Have you seen Dunkirk?

Dunkirk is a movie about the battle of Dunkirk during WWII, a very key battle where the Germans were advancing on the small Allied army and trapping them on the beach. The Allied troops had to be evacuated by civilian boats and naval vessels. Over 300,000 Allied soldiers were saved. The movie stars Harry Styles, Tom Hardy, and Cillian Murphy. It was directed by Christopher Nolan and nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and more. Lots of awards but will it win any of them? Pete saw it twice and loved it the second time.

    The acclaimed rating system

As fans of the show may know, the guys on Brunch have a very serious, acclaimed system that they use to grade movies and this is the most flawless system ever created. It ranks movies in four different categories which are:

    1. Did we like it?
    2. How did everyone look?
    3. Will we steal stuff from it?
    4. Is it problematic?

As you can see, this system is very serious and absolutely perfect. Well, did the guys like it? Was everyone looking good? Did they steal stuff? and is it problematic? If you want to know the answer, you are going to have to listen to the podcast yourself!

    The Darkest Hour

The Darkest Hour has been nominated for some awards as well, and it’s another movie about Dunkirk. DJ isn’t a fan of this movie and he wasn’t a fan of the Post either. He also was in between on the movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri as well.
