Marcus Thompson and Tim Kawakami convene at Warriors headquarters to discuss anything and everything related to the upcoming NBA Trade Deadline and the Golden State Warriors MT and KT talk more about the Warriors’ bench issues, whether the defending champions are being worn down and if course the question that everyone has been asking themselves about this team lately: could Monta Ellis be of help? Okay, no one’s really been asking that – but the guys discuss that and much more.

The guys start off by talking about Tyreke Evans, who Memphis has been trying to trade for the latter part of the first half of the NBA season. Evans is a scorer that could come off the bench for the Warriors and add depth. The 2010 Rookie of the Year is averaging 19.5 points per game while shooting 46% from the field. He would provide bench scoring to an already dangerous Warriors squad who has one of the top offenses in the NBA.  The Grizzlies are looking for a first round pick in exchange for Evans.

After going over different scenarios for the Warriors bench, as well as discussing the Warriors’ recent stretch of games, the guys talk about Monta Ellis and if he would return in his second stent with the Warriors. Ellis has not played in the NBA this season, as he last played in 2017 for the Indiana Pacers. Ellis averages 18 points per game and could see a reunion in Golden State sooner rather than later.
