Have you heard Jason Kidd just got fired? Do you want to know why? Who should replace him? The only question left is: You in?
Ownership had grown weary of the lack of progress shown this season after expectations rose from last season. With the Bucks hovering around the 8th seed, and being so close to the All-Star break, management felt it was time to make a change. It came as a bit of shock to Coach Nick and Dave, but now the Bucks must decide what they want out of this year. Jason Kidd seemed close with the Bucks front office, but obviously that was not the case.
Another note, Milwaukee was 4-6 in their last ten games and ranked 25th defensively. To say the least the ownership was through with mediocrity and made a change. The crew also discussed how this will affect Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Jason Kidd himself said at the beginning of year “We can no longer use the excuse of being a young team.” Kidd should be able to find another coaching job, but this must sting for the future Hall of Famer.
It was reported that Jason Kidd had not been made aware of the situation and Antetokounmpo was not pleased about that. Their offensive scheme was a bit predictable and had been struggling as of late. The Bucks ranked 29th in their last 5 games in offensive rating as well.
Nick and Dave talked about future replacements, namely former Memphis Grizzlies David Fizdale. Furthermore, would his old school mentality work in Milwaukee and with Antetokounmpo?
