The Red Sox got embarrassed at home on Wednesday, losing 11-3.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong for a team that has officially punted on the season –– not registering a hit until Rafael Devers slugged his 30th home run of the season in the sixth off of Jeff Samardzija.

Jhoulys Chacin took the loss, going just 2.2 innings, allowing four earned runs on five hits, striking out six.

However, the team responded well behind Eduardo Rodriguez –– who picked up his 18th win of the season.

E-Rod went six innings of one-(unearned)run ball, allowing two hits and striking out 10.

Rafael Devers knocked in two runs, and Xander Bogaerts added three RBI of his own in the winning effort.

Brandon Workman picked up save no. 15 of the season.
