The Red Sox had an off day yesterday and with how the season has started for the team it may serve as a turning point.
It was a disappointing opening day for the Red Sox on Tuesday as they fell to the Blue Jays 7-5. Boston is now 3-9 on the season as they look to rectify things tonight with Nathan Eovaldi on the mound.
Eovaldi has allowed nine runs on 12 hits in 10 innings over his first two starts for the Red Sox. He has faced Toronto four times, though no Blue Jays regular has more than five at-bats against him. Eovaldi currently has an 8.10 ERA which has just about been the average for the Red Sox rotation.
Aaron Sanchez is on the mound for the Blue Jays as they look to complete the sweep over the Red Sox. Sanchez is 1-1 on the season with an ERA of 1.64.
