Last night the Red Sox came back in tremendous fashion, beating the Texas Rangers 7-6. After getting down 6-1 early, Boston was able to rally and win, splitting the four-game series with Texas.
David Price was nothing like himself yesterday going an inning and a third, giving up six runs on five hits. Still, the bullpen was able to disregard his performance by giving up no runs in the seven-plus innings of relief.
On the offensive side, the Red Sox were able to smash around Ranger pitching with four home runs. J.D. Martinez, Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers, and Jackie Bradley Jr. were all able to poke one out of Fenway Park.
Bogaerts shot in the seventh inning was the big blow that broke the 6-6 tie, giving he Sox the 7-6 lead that they were able to hold on to.
Tonight the 36-34 Red Sox battle the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland. The Red Sox are sending lefty Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound while the Orioles starter has yet to be revealed. It was expected that Andrew Cashner would take the ball for the O’s, but blister issues may prevent that from happening. You can catch the matchup tonight at 7:05 by watching on NESN, or listening to it on 93.7 WEEI FM.
