Yesterday the Red Sox had an off day after taking two out of three from the Baltimore Orioles.  Still, their win in the series finale on Wednesday was a good one as they won 2-1 in 12 innings. Chris Sale returned to peak form going 8 strong innings striking out 14 batters. Andrew Benintendi played hero for the Sox as he gave them the go-ahead run on a solo shot in the top of the 12th.

The game could have ended an inning sooner if not for Jackie Bradley Jr. He saved the day in the bottom of the 11th by robbing the O’s Trey Mancini of a walk-off home run. If you have not seen the clip, do it as soon as you can.

Tonight, Red Sox look to finally get over .500 as they take on the Seattle Mariners at Fenway Park, in Boston Massachusetts. Eduardo Rodriguez will be on the hill for Boston while Seattle sends out pitcher Erik Swanson. First pitch is at 7:10 and you can catch the game tonight on NESN or listen to it at WEEI, 93.7 FM.
