The Boston Red Sox pitching staff struck out a total of 24 batters through 11 innings of work.  Unfortunately, Chris Sale’s 17 strikeout performance was not enough to carry the Sox as they lost 5-4 in extra innings.  Eduardo Rodriguez takes the hill for the Sox in hopes to split their two-game series with the Rockies.  The Red Sox will be squaring off with right-hander German Marquez.  First pitch is at 7:10 in Fenway.
