Another day, another loss. Last night it was to the Cleveland Indians. Over the weekend it was the Los Angeles Angels. Starting Friday, it could be the Baltimore Orioles.
Is a wild card position still possible on paper? Yes. Is it likely? Not with the current trend. It’s going to take one hell of a magical run to make it happen.
Even with an offense that is somehow outperforming last year’s colossal numbers, the pitching rotation can’t get it done, as most recently demonstrated by Eduardo Rodriguez and Marcus Walden.
All eyes will turn to Chris Sale tonight who looked like his old self the last outing. Mike Clevinger will be his opposition.
