The Boston Red Sox lost both games to the Detroit Tigers in their doubleheader on Tuesday. Chris Sale faced off against Matthew Boyd in game one. The Tigers won game one by a score of seven to four. Colton Brewer received the loss for the Sox. In game two, Hector Velázquez received the loss for the Sox as he only pitched 3 and 1/3 innings while giving up three earned runs.
