Red Sox Snap 4 game Losing Streak Against A's

Blake Swihart breaks out on his birthday going 3-4 with an RBI leading the Red Sox to a much needed victory.

The Red Sox finally looked like the Red Sox last night snapping their 4 game losing streak in a 6-3 victory over the Oakland Athletics.

The Red Sox rotation has gotten off to a very slow start and that trend slightly continued last night as Nathan Eovaldi had trouble controlling his pitches but he did go 5 innings and kept the Red Sox in the game down 3.

3 runs at the time seemed like an insurmountable feat consdierng the Red Sox hadnt scored in 21 innings but luckily the birthday boy Blake Swihart came to play.

Mitch Moreland who has a great start to the season came up clutch for the Red Sox again as he hit a deep double to right sending Devers and Betts home to tie the game at 3 in the 6th.

It looked like this game may have been heading to extras but the offensive floodgate may have finally opened for the Red Sox in the 9th inning as Mookie Betts hit a hard line ball of the third base bag sending JBJ and Swihart home.
