Welcome to the CLNS Raw Recap here on the CLNS Media Network! This is your home for the results of WWE Raw, including a recap of all the matches and segments throughout the show. Join me as we discuss what these outcomes could mean for the future of the red brand as we work towards WrestleMania!

WWE Raw comes to you tonight from Dallas, Texas!

Segment 1: Kurt Angle Promo

A solid promo from Kurt explaining that Roman is still suspended and reassuring the crowd that Brock Lesnar will be here tonight. Roman appeared from the crowd and made his way into the ring. Roman demands that Brock come out to the ring or he won’t leave. Kurt exists the ring and sends down 3 U.S. Marshals. Roman gets handcuffed and fights the rangers off.  As he was still handcuffed Brock Lesnar rushed the ring. Brock demolished Roman, beat him with a chair and took him to suplex city. He finished him off with an F-5 and that was that. He was strapped to a backboard and wheeled out.  BUT HERE  COMES BROCK! He runs out and tips Reigns over and drags him across the floor. A poor segment, trying to get Roman some sympathy ends with fans chanting “You deserve it” and cheering even more for Brock.

Match 1: Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka

A solid match from the Raw Women’s champion and Asuka. Alexa controlled the action early, with Mickie James by her side. They are both solid workers but in my opinion, Asuka carried this match. The way she sells, the style she has and how she emotes in the ring are all on another level. Asuka took control back right as the commercial break ended. She really started to pick up the pace and just then Alexa Bliss rolled out of the ring  and Asuka got a count out victory.

Winner: Asuka

As Alexa limp’s to the back Nia Jax’s music hits. She storms Alexa and Mickie and bulldozes Mickie James. She chases Alexa around the ring but Nia can’t catch her. Although it isn’t official I can only assume this is our Raw Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania.

Segment 2: Braun Stroman Partner Selection

A good promo from Braun, saying that even though he doesn’t need a partner, management decided that he needs one. The Bar interrupts him saying he could never beat them alone. As the Bar makes some jokes, Braun interrupts and tells them to shut up and that one of them need to get in the ring because they have a match.

Match 2: Braun Stroman vs. Cesaro

Braun is dominating early and often. Even the massive strength of Cesaro is no match for the monster among men. Braun is destroying him and literally threw him over the ring post. As we come back from break Cesaro is surprisingly taking control. He actually hits Braun with some impressive moves  but Strowman takes control right back. Cesaro kept trying to hit the Neutralizer but Braun wouldn’t have it. Strowman hit the power slam after reversing a Cesaro body press.

Winner: Braun Stroman

Match 3: The Revival vs. Titus Worldwide

The Reveival  dominate early on in the match by really giving it to Titus. The hot tag getting Apollo in the match turns the tide but only for a minute as the Revival made a tag and hit Apollo with the shatter machine for the win.

Winner: The Revival

After the match The Revival cuts a promo saying that at WrestleMania they will become the first tag team to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Segment 3: Bayley and Sasha air their grievances

Before the match Sasha tries to convince Bayley that she was the one who was in the right and that Bayley was being a bad friend. Bayley says she can’t get over what Sasha did to her. She wants answers but before Sasha can speak Absolution breaks up the segment for a match.

Match 4: Bayley and Sasha Banks vs. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose

Frankly this storyline is terrible and the matches have been basically the same for the last 3 weeks making it even worse. I get that they are going with Bayley vs. Sasha but with them clearly not wanting to actually be mean to each other it just doesn’t work. The writing has been poor, the matches have been bland and I’m just not interested. Deville hit Bayley with a side kick for the win.

Winner: Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose

Segment 4: John Cena Demands an Answer from the Undertaker!

Another interesting promo from Cena. He seems to be toeing the line week to week, one week he is insulting The Undertaker, the next he is begging him to respond. It’s strange, I understand the desperation from Cena but this is just so wishy washy. Pick a side and stay on it, show some conviction and keep calling him out.  He starts to do it more towards the end of the promo but when he does Kane comes out. Kane walks down, choke slams him and leaves.

Segment 5: Miztourage Promo

The Miz cuts a scathing Promo cutting down “Tyler Black and Prince Devitt” aka Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. He says he can’t wait to send them back to the bingo hall so they can too sweet their indie friends. The Miz may not be the absolute best in ring performer but man he may be the best talker in the world. His promo’s always draw attention and evoke emotion. Not only was this easily the best promo of the night, it may be one of the best of the year so far.

Match 5: Balor Club vs. The Miztourage

A pretty standard 6-man tag match for Raw. Again these guys are great it’s just that it’s the same match we have seen over and over again. Balor ended up getting the win by roll up but after the match the Miztourage jumped him. Seth Rollins came down and made the save. This is a great triple threat for WrestleMania. While the matches are stale now, I can’t imagine them being stale at WrestleMania.

Winner: Balor Club

Main Event: The Ultimate Deletion – Woken Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt

By far the strangest match in Raw history. There are drones, piano’s and wrestling all mixed into one. First Bray enters the Hardy Compound, he then follows the music and finds the ring. From there it’s really a strange form of a match that I would suggest watching for yourself. It includes the paranormal, lakes of reincarnation, actual wrestling and much more. This was an awesome match and a great change of pace from the normality of typical Raw Matches.

Winner: Matt Hardy
