The Boston Celtics set to take on a depleted Brooklyn Nets team in the Orlando bubble. Tip off is set for 9pm EST.
When the schedule was released this seemed like an automatic W for the Celtics but not so fast. Despite being depleted by injuries and Covid-19 the Nets are 2-1 in the bubble including Tuesday’s huge upset over Eastern Conference-leading Milwaukee.
Brooklyn (32-35) was an 18.5-point underdog against the Bucks but came away with a 119-116 win making it the biggest upset in the NBA since 1993.
Boston (44-23), meanwhile, is hoping to bounce back from a 112-106 loss to Miami on Tuesday.
BetOnline.ag has the Celtics listed as 8.5 point favorites with the over under set at 222.5. The money line is Brooklyn +290, Boston -360. The Nets are 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings.
All-star guard Kemba Walker will not play for the Celtics on the second night of a back to back.
The Nets will have Caris LeVert (thigh), Joe Harris (back/hamstring) and Jarrett Allen (rest) back in the lineup. All 3 missed Tuesday’s game against the Bucks.
LeVert had a career night at Boston in their most recent matchup on March 3rd scoring a career high 51 points en route to Brooklyn’s 129-120 come from behind overtime victory.
