Kemba Walker was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 119-114 win vs the Golden State Warriors. He talked about how making winning plays, how he has been feeling since coming back from injury, as well as the impact of his teammate Marcus Smart.
Walker hit a huge three-pointer down the stretch, creating offense for himself late in the shot clock. He was asked about this play during his press conference. “I kinda had no choice,” he said. “There was just so much going on… so I knew I had to get a shot off… got a little bit of separation and I was able to make a big shot.”
He also spoke about how he has been feeling since recovering from his injury. “I just have to kind of mentally get over [things]”, he said. “I jut had to kind of mentally get over that hump… I just want to continue to feel good.
Marcus Smart made a couple more of his usual hustle plays, and Walker was asked about how important he is, and whether or not the plays even surprise him anymore. “He does everything, he just does it all,” he said. “Definitely a pleasure to be his teammate… he just wants to win.”
