Payton Pritchard was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 120-113 win vs the Los Angeles Lakers. He was asked about the team’s hot starts, having a regular rotation, and the rookie wall.
The C’s got out to a hot start vs the Lakers in this one, going up 14-2 early. Pritchard talked about how much having that early lead helps. “It sets a tone right from the start,” he said. “Our starters did a great job with that tonight.”
He was also asked about how much having a regular rotation helps, since the Celtics have been ravaged with injuries all season long. “When guys know when they’re about to check in… I think it helps mentally,” Pritchard said. “We’re just gonna try to make a run now.”
Pritchard has been having a solid rookie season this year and was asked about if he has hit the rookie wall. “I guess you could say that,” he said. “It’s a grind… it’s my first time going through it… it’s a learning experience. It’s just trying to focus on everything I can focus on to be at my best.”
