The Boston Celtics (55-27) will host the Milwaukee Bucks (44-38) in game two of a best of seven quarterfinals series. The Celtics will try to go up 2-0 in a series for the first time since the 2010-2011 postseason (when they swept the Knicks 4-0).
Game one ended in dramatic fashion, a 113-107 overtime Boston win when Terry Rozier hit a step-back three with 0.5 seconds to go, followed by a game-tying three by Khris Middleton. Boston would outscore the Bucks 14-8 during overtime.
“Well I think you can tell a lot from the fight on the tip, and you know we got the tip after two tips and running through the ball to get a loose ball, and that’s when I knew we were re-set,” said Stevens. “So, that’s when I knew we were re-set. So, you just get back out and play, you’re ready to play, and I thought our guys – you know, I knew they wouldn’t hang their head about it, they’re – sometimes I think they’re at their best when those things happen. You know? I think it’s just a really resilient group of kids. Not kids, men.”
Brad Stevens also gave a pregame injury update on Gordon Hayward and used a little humor when talking with the media.
