Steve Nash was interviewed pregame before the Nets’ game vs the New Orleans Pelicans. He reacted to the verdict from the George Floyd trial and gave an injury update on James Harden.
The George Floyd trial reached a verdict today with Derek Chauvin being found guilty on all three charges. The verdict was announced earlier this evening and Nash commented on the matter. “It’s bittersweet,” said Nash. “On the other hand, it is a small gesture of justice and possibly hope for the future.”
Chauvin was convicted of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. There are varying sentences for each charge.
Nash also gave an update on superstar guard James harden. It is said that he had a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury. The team has announced that he is out indefinitely. The hope is that he will be back for the playoffs and possibly sooner.
