In the New England Patriots first game of the season it was Ryan Izzo who commanded the starting tight end role. Izzo looked strong as a blocker and made a great adjustment on a route for the longest catch of the day for New England. However, the hype was strong for rookie tight ends Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene leading up to the game. Keene was listed as inactive and Asiasi played less than 10 snaps with zero targets.
