The Garden Report recaps Celtics versus Knicks, where Celtics closed the game out down to the wire in a 101-99 win. The Celtics started with a new lineup with returning young role player Romeo Langford starting while Kemba Walker was resting. The lineup didn’t fare too well as Celtics again struggled to find consistency with the offense. It was a battle throughout the night, but the biggest star was Jaylen Brown, who kept his foot on the gas and finished with a MASSIVE double-double (32 PTS,10 REB). Marcus Smart (17PTS, 9 AST) brought toughness as well defensively and came up big in key moments, hitting several clutch shots and making hustle plays. The crew reflects on his game as well as Tatum’s, who had a career-high in turnovers (8) while also putting up a double-double (25 PTS, 10 REB, 5 AST). With this win, the Celtics gain one game over the Knicks in the eastern conference standings and are now sitting in the 7th seed with a 26-26 record.
