WrestleMania 34 Predictions: New Champions Galore!

With WrestleMania just days away, who will come out on top at the showcase of the immortals? Who will become a Champion? Find out right here!

Welcome to the CLNS WrestleMania 34 prediction special! Here I will be breaking down every match from the Kickoff show all the way to the main events on the card. With every Championship being defended this looks to be the most stacked WrestleMania card in years. Let’s waste no more time and start with the Kickoff Show!

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal (Kickoff Show)

With the underlying storyline of Sasha vs. Bayley going into this match it would seem one of those two should win the Battle Royal to further their feud, and while they still may I don’t see that happening. With Bayley and Sasha being too consumed with one another I see them eliminating each other simultaneously, leaving the win for Becky Lynch.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (Kickoff Show)

Another WrestleMania and another poorly built Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. With no clear cut favorites and no real head turners in the match it really is a toss up. However I feel we get our first surprise of the night. With rumors swirling of Big Cass being cleared to return after suffering an ACL tear last year, I see him making his comeback in this match, eliminating Baron Corbin last for the win!

Winner: Big Cass

Cruiserweight Championship — Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali (Kickoff Show)

In my mind this is another toss-up. Both alexander and Ali have been booked strong with a mutual respect for one another. While the original plans were to have Alexander beat Enzo Amore at WrestleMania those plans we obviously scrapped. In turn I think Alexander also lost his shot to become Cruiserweight Champion. Ali has had killer promo’s and incredible matches on the road to WrestleMania. This forces me to lean toward him as the winner.

Winner: Mustafa Ali

Raw Tag Team Championship — The Bar (c) vs. Braun Strowman & TBD:

First things first, who is going to be Braun’s Partner? The answer, I have no idea but I do have a couple of solid guesses. First, Samoa Joe, if cleared the team of Joe and Braun would be almost unstoppable and would likely dominate the Raw tag division. Second, Elias, if you have been watching Raw you’ll understand why this just fits, especially after the symphony of destruction match. Finally, Bray Wyatt, with Wyatt being deleted from Smackdown Live could this be his reemergence? No matter who it is I think they go over and are your new Raw Tag Team Champions.

Winner’s: Braun Strowman and (Samoa Joe/Bray Wyatt/Elias)

SmackDown Tag Team Championship — The Usos (c) vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers

Our second Tag Team Championship match, while more clear than the Raw match still has an uncertainty to it. For Smackdown however it is not who will be in the match but who will win. With the Bludgeon Brother being pushed so heavily they seem to be the favorite. For me this makes them a target, look for the Uso’s and New Day to band together to take out the Bludgeon Brothers early, leading to another great sequence between the two teams. With the Bludgeon Brothers down and out, the New Day overcome the Uso’s and get the W.

Winner’s: The New Day

United States Championship — Randy Orton (c) vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev

The match with the hottest gimmick in wrestling is here and his name is Rusev! While every fiber of my being wants Rusev to win this match I need to put my bias aside. Rusev was added to this match just last week and up to that point looked like he was going to be in the Battle Royal. So while that is the freshest story in our minds don’t forget how Randy Orton had been putting people over all year. That comes to an end now as Orton retains with an RKO out of nowhere on Jinder Mahal to retain his U. S. Championship.

Winner: Randy Orton

Intercontinental Championship — The Miz (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

Another match, another uncertain outcome. Rumor has it that the Miz will be dropping the belt but with other rumors that Seth Rollins will be turning heel to feud with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, putting the IC belt on him would be pointless. This leaves us with Finn Balor and I can’t say I’m too confident. With the way he has been booked and the belief that he isn’t seen as “special” by WWE higher up’s I can’t say this is a slam dunk, more like a fade away 3 that you hope you hit.

Winner: Finn Balor

Raw Women’s Championship — Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax:

With WWE being so anti bully it is almost impossible for me to imagine them putting someone who fat shamed and bullied someone else, even if it is a work. Nia is most likely going to dominate this match in what I would guess to be a near squash match.

Winner: Nia Jax

SmackDown Women’s Championship — Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Asuka:

In my humble opinion this match may steal the show. You have the two absolute best in ring female competitors in the world right now going head to head and wow I cannot wait. While the Streak will not be snapped and Asuka will win, get ready for fireworks as these two ladies are going to put on a show. The only twist here is that after the match I believe Carmella will unsuccessfully cash in her money in the bank contract, further fueling Asuka’s dominance.

Winner: Asuka

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

With the added stipulation that if Sami and Kevin win they are back on Smackdown Live the outcome becomes a little harder to predict but here’s what I got. With a high chance there is another superstar shakeup coming as soon as next week I still see Bryan and McMahon going over. This means that in the shakeup both Sami and Kevin will be drafted to Raw thus tying up loose ends in the feud. With Bryan coming back for his first match in 2 years I completely expect him to be put over and get the victory.

Winner’s: Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon

Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon & Triple H

What should be fairly clear cut and easy to predict may get a little muddy. While I expect Ronda and Kurt to go over clean I wouldn’t put it past Stephanie and HHH to have a few tricks up their sleeves. I could even see a run in here by another Women in the company or maybe even multiple women with the Iconic Duo (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce of NXT) to setup a two on one match against Ronda in the future. At this point Ronda and Kurt still go over clean but watch for shenanigans.

Winner’s: Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle

The Undertaker vs. John Cena

The only way I don’t see this match happening is if they announce it for next year’s WrestleMania. For the sake of predictions, we are going to proceed like it will happen this year. With a man that has now lost twice at WrestleMania in the Undertaker and another Man who has one foot out the door with John Cena, who wins and why?  While part of me believes that Taker should win, another part believes this will be Taker’s last match and Cena’s last match for a long time.  That being said with Cena losing at each of his last 6 major appearances, this could be the way they send Cena off for a while. Broken beaten and discouraged, making his return win all the sweeter. At the end of the day it’s a toss-up, but I say let the Undertaker ride off into the sunset as a winner.

Winner: The Undertaker

WWE Championship — AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

By far one of the biggest dream matches in the history of professional wrestling is here. The match that should but won’t be the main event. The match that everyone will be talking about. I really just want people to experience this for themselves, I have no predictions for spots. No idea who is actually going to win but I will leave you with this, get ready for the best wrestling match you will ever see.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Universal Championship — Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns

I wish Roman Reigns wasn’t shoved down our throats but here we are. There are only 3 things certain in life, Death, Taxes and Roman Reigns going over. Now if that’s too harsh or you want a reason to watch, it is this. Roman could lose at WrestleMania to Brock, but with Brock most likely leaving for the UFC he wouldn’t keep the belt for long. He may even lose the next night on Raw, so how/ why does Reigns lose? Think Austin vs. Rock at WrestleMania 17. Mr. McMahon causes Stone Cold to win by hitting the Rock with a chair. Same angle anyone? After Roman confronted Reigns on Raw, HHH could come down, hit Roman with a chair and let Brock leave champion. This will further the story for at least a month and could be used to help Roman get over.

Winner: Roman Reigns
