Greg Bedard: Kayshon Boutte Had to go & Mike Vrabel Is Right about Patriots Depth

Kayshon Boutte’s time in New England is now over after he was traded to the Houston Texans yesterday for safety Jaylen Reed and a seventh-round draft pick in 2028.

BSJ’s Greg Bedard is joined by Nick Cattles once again to break down why the Patriots made this trade, why the return is lower than a lot of fans expected, what this means for New England’s wide receiver room, and why Boutte wanted out. They also discuss Mike Vrabel’s comments over the weekend about the team’s depth. Greg explains why he agrees with Vrabel and who is to blame for the lack of depth on the roster (including a name you may not have expected to hear👀).

The guys also touched on Christian Gonzalez’s return to practice yesterday, and Greg reveals his “three up, three down” from Saturday’s preseason game vs the Eagles. Don’t miss this jam-packed edition of the Greg Bedard Patriots Podcast!
