The New England Patriots wrapped up their 14th day of practice with a joint practice with Indianapolis Colts prior to their preseason opener against the Colts on Thursday night. One of the biggest storylines coming from practice was not about the play on the field, but one of the players who was not on the field in Christian Gonzalez. Gonzalez who has been engaged with extension talks with Patriots this offseason was not present for joint practice. Andrew Callahan discussed with The Boston Herald’s Zack Cox about his absence. Andrew said on the manner:
“I’m not bothered by this at all. Even if this is contract related…You know what? Fine. You’ve earned it to this point…[But] if he’s not there Saturday, then it’s an issue.”
