Tremont Waters spoke with the media in his postgame interview after the Celtics fell to the Knicks in a wire-to-wire finish, 96-92.
Waters was asked about his mentality and the mindset of his teammates as they took on New York with several players resting. “It was our last regular-season game and we just wanted to go out there and fight, do the best we can and show that we’re still fighters.”
On getting better as a point guard and developing his skill set, Waters said: nothing has changed…stay ready…it’s been a lot of learning….just doing the things I know I have to do…”
On facing Washington on Tuesday and Westbrook, Waters said “he is a dynamic player…he also obviously is great at recording triple doubles and making his teammates better…he does a lot of different things”
Waters also took the time to thank and credit shooting coach Jerome Allen for helping him and working on his development.
