Aaron Nesmith, the newest member of the New Balance family, joined John Zannis and Bobby Manning on the Garden Report Celtics Post Game Show to talk about the biggest week of his NBA career with big performances against the Hornets, Spurs and Trail Blazers where he averaged 58% from three.
His shot has arrived, but when it didn’t Nesmith earned minutes earlier this season by reshaping his game and proving to Brad Stevens that he can contribute on defense, in rebounding and by chasing loose balls. That was a slight adjustment, he told the Garden Report, that involved learning to fall correctly, take a back seat during his DNP games and figuring out what is needed.
Nesmith also discussed the leadership of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, what it’s like to be the locker room this season and his coaching relationship with Stevens. Nesmith is working on his own design for New Balance as the newest member of their brand endorsement, while also participating in the company’s partnership with the Celtics on social justice and inclusion.
