Aaron Nesmith was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 143-140 comeback win vs the San Antonio Spurs. Nesmith talked about his performance lately, as well as the confidence he has been playing with.
Jayson Tatum led the charge in this one, dropping 60 points and tying Larry Bird’s franchise record. Despite this, Nesmith was the third-leading scorer on the team and made some big-time plays. “To be a part of it is just incredible,” he said. “Definitely can’t get too high on it, got another game coming up and another job to do.”
Nesmith also talked about some of the big shots he hit down the stretch and throughout the game, including a couple of clutch putbacks. He missed a layup that could have helped seal the game but made up for it later on. “One thing I’ve learned being in this league so far is you got to have a short-term memory,” he said.
He was asked about his rising confidence levels as well. “They [the team leaders] instill confidence in you,” he said. “Every time I get to get into the flow of the game it just starts to come more naturally… it’s become a lot more fun.”
