Aaron Nesmith was interviewed after the Celtics’ practice on Thursday ahead of their upcoming playoff series vs the Brooklyn Nets. He spoke about the play-in, being starstruck facing off against the Nets’ big three, and his continuous defensive mindset.
Nesmith was asked about his experience in the play-in. As it was his first taste of “playoff” action, this is what he had to say: “It was a lot of fun… it’s been a while since I’ve been able to play in a high pressure situation like that where it’s a must win.”
He also talked about what it’s like playing against superstars. Nesmith gave his response to the question: “Yeah it’s a blessing for sure… [play with] people I’ve always looked up to… at the same time you got a job to do… it’s another basketball game, been doing it my whole life.”
Lastly, Nesmith talked about his defensive mindset moving forward in the season, stating this: “Just continuing to do the things that I’ve been doing, making winning plays, making effort plays.”
