Boston dropped their last game of the season vs. the New York Knicks 96-92. The Celtics held out their top players, trotting out a starting lineup of Luke Kornet, Grant Williams, Semi Ojeleye, Romeo Langford, and Tremont Waters.
The C’s were led by Tremont Waters with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Jabari Parker also chipped in with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and two assists. Four other Celtics joined them in double figures on the day.
Tremont Waters spoke with media after his performance and spoke on Russell Westbrook and the upcoming matchup with Washington on Tuesday. He talked about Westbrook’s ability to make his teammates better, as well as how easily he can get triple-doubles.
The Celtics will face off against the Wizards Tuesday night at 9 PM in the first game of the play-in tournament. Boston will have home-court advantage and will have two chances to clinch a playoff spot.
