“Public perception looks towards the Western Conference” according to Drew. While the Nets currently hold the best odds to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy (+200), they are followed by two Western Conference teams on that leaderboard.
Grant responds to this narrative by saying that “the great thing about the NBA now is that it’s so competitive.” According to Betonline.ag, six different teams currently have +800 odds or better to win the Finals. Despite this statement, Grant is still going with a team out of the West.
“If you have to pick one, you still have to choose the Lakers until somebody beats them,” Grant stated. The Lakers currently possess the second-best odds to win the NBA Championship at +400. The reigning champs look to defend the championship they won in the bubble last season.
