According to Frank Seravalli of TSN, the Boston Bruins have inked defenseman John Moore to a 5-year deal at $2.75 million AAV.
Last season, Moore put up seven goals and 18 points with a plus-three rating in 81 games for the New Jersey Devils.
Moore has spent eight years in the NHL, bouncing around between the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, Arizona Coyotes and the Devils. His best season in terms of point production came in 2016-17 when he potted 12 goals and 22 points.
The Boston Bruins have expressed a desire to get a big, left-shot defenseman behind 41-year-old Zdeno Chara and Moore definitely fits that bill at 6-foot-2, 210 lbs.
With Chara, Moore and the recent signing of Matt Grzelcyk, one has to wonder where Torey Krug fits into all of thise, as the right-side is also filled to the brim.
