The Celtics continue their homestand with a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night. Down multiple starters again, including Al Horford (right knee swelling) and Jaylen Brown (maxillary facial fracture), the Celtics were fueled by monster performances from Jayson Tatum (41 points) and Derrick White (career high 33 points) as Boston cruised to a 127-116 win over Charlotte.

Newly added big man Mike Muscala made his debut with Horford sidelined, and chipped in 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting, all behind the three point line. Muscala’s instant impact had the crowd blowing the roof off at TD Garden during the Celtics win.

Boston will have the formidable Memphis Grizzlies in town on Sunday for a 2PM EST matinee matchup before the Super Bowl.
