Danny Ainge joined Toucher and Rich this morning for his weekly interview and gave an update on the possibility that more fans could be allowed at TD Garden. Although the state of Massachusetts recently stated that all remaining COVID restrictions will be lifted on May 29th, Ainge said that the team has not yet been given the go-ahead by the NBA to allow full capacity at TD Garden yet.
The Celtics held a practice today ahead of their first-round series vs the Brooklyn Nets. Brad Stevens gave an update on Robert Williams’ injury status going into the weekend. This is what he had to say:
“Robert Williams did not practice, he’s still really sore… he’ll continue to be day-to-day, but I can’t imagine him practicing tomorrow based on how he was walking around today.”
Boston takes on Kyrie Irving and the Nets in game one of their series this Saturday, May 22nd. The game is set to tip-off at 5:30 PM.
