The Celtics returned to TD Garden to welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night. The young Thunder came to play, and they brought every ounce of hustle and intensity they could. Boston was in a daze for a good part of the game and fell behind, as the deficit grew as large as 15 points in the 3rd quarter.
Boston then turned to their bench, and that’s really where the energy began to shift. Payton Pritchard provided the spark the Celtics needed so desperately, and his late push in the quarter cut the deficit down. Derrick White also chipped in, including some huge buckets and a dagger three to seal the game away. Marcus Smart had an outstanding game against OKC as well, and shot an efficient 8-of-12 from the field.
