The 2022-23 NBA season is far enough along at this point that we can start getting an idea of what trends have some substance to them, and which might be mostly smoke and mirrors. And in a season where many teams seemed likely to tank for prized prospect Victor Wembanyama, few are playing poorly and fewer on purpose.
That might mean fewer potential trade options for contenders like the Boston Celtics, but with the way they have been playing to start the season, is that really even very big of a concern for a team whose weaknesses appear to have been exaggerated?
To take stock of the 2022-23 season so far and what it might mean for Boston’s teambuilding plans as they gear up for a run at Banner 18, we linked up with Heavy’s Sean Deveney to talk Celtics trades, the (lack of an) epidemic of tanking, and what we like about the team so far.
Join your usual hosts Justin Quinn and Cameron Tabatabaie for a deep dive into the 2022-23 stat quo and what it means for the trade deadline plans of the front office.
