The Cavaliers got ahead early and led throughout a game where both teams sat numerous stars including Kemba Walker, Darius Garland, Robert Williams and Larry Nance. Isaac Okoro and the Cavaliers perimeter players that remained, along with Jarrett Allen, held down Jayson Tatum and the Celtics offense. Tremont Waters, Grant Williams, Aaron Nesmith and other Celtics depth pieces failed to muster any more than 94 points in a low-scoring performance, as the reality that the Celtics could lose out became apparent after Brad Stevens said pregame that the team is weighing its options on how it’ll handle health with the play in tournament inevitable.
