The Celtics faced off with the Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals at Chase Center on Sunday night. After a tough comeback in Game 1, Boston sought to jump out to a 2-0 series lead over Golden State with a win on Sunday, but things didn’t exactly go as planned. With questionable officiating and a tenacious effort from the Warriors, the Celtics began to fall apart and racked up countless turnovers. Ultimately, the Warriors won in a 107-88 landslide over the Celtics, and the series is now tied 1-1 heading to Boston for Games 3 and 4.

On the 18 turnovers that the Celtics racked up, Head Coach Ime Udoka said “That’s been an ongoing theme for us in the playoffs.”

When it came to matching the Warriors increased physicality, Jayson Tatum said the Celtics  “didn’t get the benefit of the doubt” from the referees.

On Draymond Green and the altercation in the 2nd quarter, Jaylen Brown said “I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do there. He’s got his feet on my head and then he tried to pull my pants down. But that’s what he does. He tries to muck the game up. He raised his physicality. We’ve got to raise ours.”

On Green’s antics and physicality, Al Horford said “He’s going to do what he does. We’re not worried about him.”
