The Celtics lost the lead coming out the second half in Game 1 against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night. The final score, Nets 104 Celtics 93.
A hot start in the first half for the C’s, as they held the talented Nets offense to a mere 16 points in the first quarter, as Brooklyn went 1-for-13 from 3-point-line, and entered the locker room at halftime up six.
That would not last long, as the Nets started hitting their 3s in the third quarter while Brooklyn’s “Big Three” took turns with their runs. Kevin Durant put up a game-high 32 PTS and 12 REBS while Kyrie Irving and James Harden scored 29 and 21 PTS apiece. For the Celtics, their stars wasn’t as present, like even though Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 22 points, he disappeared in the 2nd half shooting 0-6 from the field.
